Hey, I've been wondering about this but couldn't find the answer by myself,so I thought I should ask you guys.

So I've been searching the web for which food is toxic for lovebirds, parrotlets in general, and I of course, couldn't find all the food list on the web. I still can't find Melon's favorite food because I don't know what to give him. I think it's sunflower seeds but, there're tons of different lists on web that, for ex,states chickpeas are bad for birds, states chickpeas are actually good for birds, and I don't know which one I should believe. Do you guys have any trustworthy food-list for lovebirds/parrotlets?

And also,in my country, there's a snack-ish thing, roasted chickpeas. I was eating one of them and Melon wanted to eat one too. I was like..should I give him or not? Roasting or boiling things does make a difference,so I'm like...eh...?

Hello, and welcome to the Parrot Forums family!

Here are links to threads from the Parrot Food, Recipes and Diet sub-forum you might find quite useful in this vein:
http://www.parrotforums.com/parrot-...afe-fresh-foods-toxic-food-lists-sprouts.html
http://www.parrotforums.com/parrot-...7-converting-parrots-healthier-diet-tips.html

And here is a link to an eclectus diet website. The foods listed there would be good for any parrot, and I've found the info on that site very accurate: fruitandveg (Don't just stop on that page. That resource is chock full of info.)
