Hey all, I'm home sick with the stomach virus, and possibly an ear infection. So I'm going to be out of the loop for a bit. I just have a question.

Should I stay away from S'mores and Bartleby? If the stomach virus and ear infection are transmittable, I don't want them to get sick. Thanks for any help.

Hey AP, I really don't believe you can pass a virus off to the birds. Most of what birds get when they're sick is bacteria related, which could cause an infection. However, what you're dealing with is most likely viral, and isn't something that can be transmitted to the birds. I'm NOT a Vet, so, I would certainly use anti bacterial soap or gel before handling the birds and maybe no kisses, just to be safe!!

Sorry to hear your under the weather lil bro, some viruses can be passed between bird and human, and vice versa, don't think this would be one of them though, to be on the safe side, no kissy kissy with the fids for a few days ;), get well soon........
