Would like to know, if Kaytee Hand Formula as of now safe to use? As I read up a lot of bad stories. As for now my Local bird shop has run out of A19 Nutribird. So though of temporary trying out Kaytee.

No one uses Kaytee Hand Formula ?

Sorry that one of the Breeders had missed your Thread!

I am guess that you're concern is that !?!: The Bird Shop is hand feeding your baby Parrot? Or, you and holding-off bring a baby home to hand feed? Or, you are having a general concern regarding this issue and just trying to get a feeling from the Forum Breeders, what they are doing, etc...

I deal with much older Amazons, so I commonly do not follow what is trending on the Breeder side of the Forum.

This will get you bounced back-up the on to the board and with luck, it may catch a Breeder!

FYI: It may have helped to have placed the Thread in the Breeder sub-forum. Just my guess at it! Seeing, that it is between the Holidays, many of the Breeders may be catching up with family before the late Winter /Spring start of hatching season. :D

Hope you get your Question addressed!

I always feed my birds once a day Formula to adult birds. As to me, Milk is good.
So running Low on stock that’s why I’m asking about kaytee products.

Kaytee should be fine, although it would be a good idea to try and find what you are currently using or perhaps even another product.

Even when the Kaytee handfeeding formula has been safe to use, it's always been kind of a hit or miss on how well people like it... but it's the most common product out there, which means it's the most readily available one to use, so many people do use it.

Thank you for the reply:) just kind of worry about previous incident back years where many birds are fed with kaytee Hand Formula which lead to death.
So I Guess is safe to use now. Anyways is just a temporary substitute.

Do you have any info on this past issue? I would be very curious to read up on it.

Might try doing a search for "Kaytee Handfeeding Recalls". Lots of stories out there...
