Hi,

I noticed my lovebird was tired more than usual today but I didn't think much of it because he was eating and drinking. I came home from work and went to check on him and he some stuff around his beak. (maybe raisin or something? idk it seems stuck to him) and I reached in and pet him which was super odd bc he normally would move and the only reason he did is that I tried to get the stuff off his beak so he opened it to try to bite me. He isn't chirping or anything he's just sitting in his cage but he physically appears fine, just tired and not super responsive. What should I do and what could cause this?

I advise you take him to the vet immediately. Unfortunately parrots can get severely ill very quickly. If you ever suspect that there is something wrong, it is better to take them for a checkup at the vet. Rather be safe than sorry!
