Just got our new Advantium speedcooking oven in. This is the third one I've owned so you'd think it should have been a safe purchase. Alas, they've switched from the older enameled metal platters to ones coated on rather dubious looking non-stick. My wife made a polite call explaining the issues with parrots and inquiring if they had any of the older ones we could buy. Have to say the customer service agent was rude and hung up on her.

Just googled that and WOW. That's a pretty pricey appliance. Can't believe customer service was so rude! I'd call them back and demand to speak to a supervisor. Surely the company doesn't want to loose a long time repeat customer.

Well, I have to retract some of my GE criticism. My wife has spent the intervening two weeks corresponding with various people at GE. We finally got routed to the engineering staff who confirms that the trays are actually a PTFE/PFOA-free ceramic coating and hence (probably) bird friendly. I did however pick up some used instances of the enamel tray on ebay (and I have some from the other oven).
