I recently added a baby Lovebird to my home named Kiwi. Honestly I have never owned such a small bird, but something has been bothering me a little bit. Her breathing....
Now she is pretty hand shy, but once you hold her she cuddles up and tries to hide. One thing I’ve noticed however is that her breathing seems to be fairly fast and her tail bobs up and down slightly. I don’t know if she is hyperventilating out of fear/stress, or if she is becoming ill? Her droppings seem normal (urine is a little green/yellow), and she has energy to climb around and play.
Just wanted to add here: Our home is usually kept around 71-74 degrees as I Live in Florida and it is brutally hot. Is this too cold for her?
