Our vet, which has been caring for our dogs and cats for years, doesn't treat birds. In the Kitchener/Waterloo, Cambridge area, who's the best avian vet around?

Cheers!

RIP Gandalf and Big Bird, you are missed.
Finding a certified avian vet can be difficult depending on location. Be aware many practices advertise "exotics" to include birds, reptiles, aquatics, etc. Specific training, equipment, and support staff needed to competently diagnose and treat our fids!

Search engine, you may not find anything if away from significant population centers: https://www.aav.org/search/custom.asp?id=1803

Parrots
Senegal Parrot named "Kane"; Yellow-Sided Green Cheek Conure named "Bowie"; Blue Quaker Parrot named "Lita Ford"; Cockatiel named "Duff"; 8 American/English Budgie Hybrids; Ringneck Dove named "Dylan"
The search-tool above that Scott posted is usually very reliable for finding the closest Certified Avian Vets and Avian Specialists to you, so hopefully you found one....I hope nothing serious is going on with your bird(s)...

Thanks. None in Kitchener, but guelph is only about 30 min away and there might be three there. There is also the School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Guelph.
