Ok I need advice. Legs was hatched in late January, making her around 3/4 months old. She is starting her first molt, and becoming sassier and sassier by the day. I was dreading this. With Fatty when he would get needlessly aggressive or something I would just put him in the cage for a while. My other budgies I never really noticed a puberty stage. If Legs goes through a distinct "puberty" how should I handle it? She is a flatbird, and requires a lot of physical contact sometimes to move her around. I don't want to just put her in her cage when she is being too hormonal, since that is especially harsh to a bird with limited mobility(who is also used to being out of the cage on me, Mr. Bug, or the couch roughly 90% of daylight hours. Or more, she is only in the cage when it is unsafe or if I'm hanging out with Alex in the other room or something)

Hopefully her puberty will be mild, but now is the time to get advice for if she goes through a doozy of a puberty.

I'll never forget how basically overnight Fatty went from a sweet baby to a bird who would fly to me when called, sit on my finger doing the budgie smile, and then lean down and bite and CHEW the finger he was sitting on. Little punk. I *really* hope Legs doesn't get anywhere near as hormonal as Fatty did... yipe!
