deworming tablets

hi

i have been looking to different brand of worming tablets for my green cheek conure, i'm not sure if he has had anything for worming before and im unsure or how often conure should be dewormed.

i was wondering what other parrot owner use brand and how often you deworm your parrot,

bash is 6/7 months old he a healthy inquisitive conure.

would i be better waiting until he is around a year old before using deworming tablets . any advice greatly apprecaitely

Hi barclay, deworming not needed unless your CAV says so according to the expert advice in this thread: Deworming, vitamins stuff like that

Yes as stated above, parrots do not need deworming (like dogs and cats do), there are not currently any vaccinations required or necessary for parrots at this time, like there are for cats and dogs. They CAN get things like mites that can be treated by an avian vet but they generally don't get 'worms'.
