What soap is safe for cleaning?

Hey everyone,

I would like to gut my budgie's cage and just do a light cleaning on all the toys and such.

I was wondering if original dawn dish soap was safe to use so long as its thoroughly rinsed off/out of everything? Also, can I put his stainless steel food bowls in the dishwasher? I've been handwashing them this whole time but I'd like to put them through the heat and then wash them myself again.

Thanks!

Yup, Dawn dish soap is great.

Other options:
Steam cleaner with just water
F-10
Poop-Off
Vinegar & Water

I don't see why you couldn't run the bowls/dishes thru your dishwasher, just as long as you rinse them afterwards, just incase there happens to be any soap residual left behind.

Thank you, I'm glad someone agrees. I'm so paranoid about anything coming into contact with him anymore lmao

I thought I would handwash them with dawn afterwards just to take the extra step.

Even though I have a dish washer, with BB's bowls (stainless steel) I just wash with hot water and yep...DAWN soap!
