Since Valentine has lost a leg I’ve been very worried about bumblefoot. I have been keeping all his perches clean, they vary in diameter. He eats vegetables, eggs, fruit and seeds. Is there anything else I can do to avoid bumblefoot?

Looks like you are doing your best already. I guess the only other thing you could add to his regime would be increase his bathing frequency?
Hand-washing is the best practice for preventing illness. So, I would thing keeping his foot as clean as possible would be a good deterrent for a Staph infection. Also, making sure your hands are clean when handling him.

A very wide perch available to rest the tensing foot almost flat, just the toil nail and first joint curling this takes off all pressure points on remaining foot.
Frequent baths so foot skin is healthy and doesn't dry out and crack. Crsjed dry skin is easier to get infection. But you don't want to keep him damp because that also leads to problem.

I will try to bathe him more frequently and keep his foot as clean as possible. I will also put my effort into getting him on flat perches more often.
If for example, he didn’t want to bathe and obviously I don’t want to force it, could I just wet his foot? He’s just not the easiest bather!
One more question, is aloe Vera okay? Can I rub it on his foot fresh from the plant?
(Yes, all my perches are either wooden or rope, no plastic)

My CAV deals with a lot of amputees and talks about setting up donuts for them to sit in and releave some of the pressure on the one supporting leg. Flat perches or shelves seem like they might be a good idea as well. I was looking for some and came across this perch. seems like it would allow the bird to rest his body when needed. This morning he had butternut squash and carrots for breakfast. I also took a photo of his foot to keep track of anything that might appear.
