Nail trimming help

My Quaker's nails are overgrown. I live in Croatia and the nearest avian vet is a six hour drive away from me. I have a vet near where I live but from what I heard from other pet owners they are not the best to say it nicely. Does any one have any tips on how to trim his nails?

Are the nails overgrown??? Or just sharp?

Asking since overgrown nails can be a sign of organ failure and bloodwork would be recommended.
