Sun conure
Hi everyone,

I have a baby Sunconure about 45-50 days old. Today i noticed a bubble under his tongue, something like a wart in human body. We are giving only hand feeling formula (Delinight Start) as his food& he is taking food without any problem. He is staying on wood shells attached with a bulb for getting heat.

Do anybody know why this kind of problem under his tongue? what is the remedy of it? Please let me know. Here I am attaching some photos also

Umbrella Cockatoo- 15? years old..I think?
Do you have an avian vet near you?
I am not an expert AT ALL in this area, but after Googling, I am wondering (not certain) if it could be some sort of tumor? They can be malignant or benign...I could be TOTALLY wrong (honestly, not my area of expertise at all) ...Does he have any white blotches in his mouth?

RIP Gandalf and Big Bird, you are missed.
Welcome to you and your beautiful Sun Conure!

Unsure whether tumor of some sort or growth? I understand finding an avian vet in India can be challenging. Do you live near a zoo or other wildlife agency to obtain references? If not, your best bet is to search your local area and find the most qualified vet possible.

Did the object rapidly appear, or slowly grow?

Guys, while I know he is a baby, I am concerned about the bald patch on this chicks head. That does not look right to me.

agreed on the bald patch- was so focused on the tongue that I didn't see it.

I think it's because of some reaction related to food temperature change or something like that .
Please check the pics I posted sometimes before,10 days before and present pic...

Hopefully feathers will come...

Anyway he is active and taking food as usual...

I am worried about PBFD or PDD (diseases that can impact feathers and organs etc). Make sure you still get him to a vet if you are able. Glad he is eating well etc! That's a good sign, but don't brush off the bald patch or lump (even though it's gone now).

RIP Gandalf and Big Bird, you are missed.
Perhaps the wart-like growth was fluid filled and absorbed. But I also am concerned with baldness and haphazard feathering.

I would be very careful giving vitamin supplements unless prescribed by an avian vet. Might receive an overdose depending on vitamin fortified foods and natural intake.
