Butter - male green cheek conure
Hi, it’s been awhile since I have used this website. I am worried about my parrot. Anybody wondering about my last posts, she was fine. I took her to the vet.

But I have found just today that she has a big orange hard thing under her beak. She was scratching at it. I have never heard of or seen any parrot/bird with it. I don’t know what it is. Is it serious? Is it a health problem? Is it normal? Please help.

If we have to take her to the vet again, we will. I would do anything for her to be okay.

Yeah, that looks like some kind of cyst maybe. if it was me, I'd take Butter to see a Certified Avian Vet, no dog&cat vet. Salty has a growth on the front of one toe, but my vet said to leave it unless he is a) picking at it or b) it gets bigger. If Butter is scratching at it, yeah, I'd get the vet to check it out.

RIP Gandalf and Big Bird, you are missed.
Appears abnormal, but only a qualified avian vet can properly diagnose. Hopefully nothing serious!

Have to agree with the others above, a trip to a avian vet to check it out is a good idea.

It may just be a feather cyst but you will still need a avian vet visit without a doubt. Hope all goes well.
