You may remember that my Ruby-bubi had constricted toe when she was a fledgling and now only has the 2 front toes on each foot and little stubs for her back toes. So, I watch her feet pretty closely to make sure they're okay.

I've noticed that she has small pressure spots on the back stubs of each foot. All of the perches in her cage are natural branches as advised by our breeder. Does anyone have any suggestions?

this might be wrong and be far fetched, but normally when residents where i work have pressure sores on there heels we put cushioned pads on them, so off top of my head, how about them small paint rollers with the sponge or similiar?? till toe heels?? this should reduce pressure on the poorly toe's

hope there better soon

Not a bad idea. I'll see if I can find something soft a cushy.

Rope perches are pretty good for this as are platforms in the cage. Rosie has some pressure sores for a while with a plastic heated perch. Since then the pressure areas have cleared up and I use only rope and natural and platforms.
