my blue front :green: has what looks like a flight feather hanging. she is super aggressive if you go near it and even when she moves if it hits something she squawks. what can i do to help her? does she need a possible vet visit or will it eventually come out on its own. i notice she has tried to preen it a couple times herself but no luck.

If you think the bird is having discomfort due to the feather than I would seek professional help. If the feather is not hurting her or bleeding then it will eventually just fall off.

Is it a blood feather? If not maybe you could pick it out?

well it looks like a flight feather, it was bloody at the quill end close to her body and it was causing her alot of discomfort so much so that she wouldnt even alow me to pick her up and even bit me ( something she has never done) i did call our vet but as today bieng a holiday the only one on duty wasent an avian vet. and the only advice that she could give was to wait until monday and if it wasent better to come in then. well the feather has fallen out now so will let her calm down and see if she is still agitated at suppertime....mmmmm oatmeal and applesauce lol
