I am sure many of us, can't find the vet's number when an emergency occurs.

Please do add your vet's details, giving as much information as possible.

This post could possible save the life of one of our feathered friends, perhaps even your bird.

I take mine to Deer Creek in Crowley Texas just south of Ft Worth. They are great people and know what they are doing. My dogs all go there also, because they treated Missy for parvo with remarkable results.

Anyone know any good avian vets in Jacksonvile,Florida?

All I seem to be able to find is a animal clinic and while that fine I don't know how well they are with birds.

For those in Australia, Victoria Dr Aaron is an avian spe******t. He's a wonderful vet and sees my little Alex and my mothers birds, even if it can be a bit of a drive for us at times! :orange::yellow1::grey:

Ballarat Veterinary Practice (Sturt St Clinic)
For avian related issues I recommend asking for Dr. Aaron W. Luttrell
1410 Sturt St, Lake Wendoree (Ballarat) Victoria 3350
Ph: (03)5331 1533
After hours emergencies: 0438 311 533

Keats (budgie) born Feb. 18, 2011, and Raphael (budgie) adopted July 3, 2011. Finn, a Brown-Head Poicephalus, born January 4, 2010, has also joined the family!
Best place to find local avian vets is right here:

The Association of Avian Veterinarians | Home

Of course, I'd recommend checking out their website, calling to ask what services they provide to birds, etc., before choosing a specific practice.

so I just found out that the VET I bring Dusty to is no longer practicing in my area... I found this out when a Veterinary Technician from the hospital came and started working at the veterinary hospital I currently work out >.< She hasnt been practicing since January.... I have yet to be formally informed... Thank goodness the hospital I work at has an Exotics vet who sees birds

In addition to being Aviary vets, they see other animals as well. They also have a boarding house, so if you're going out of town and need a place for your non-human family members, they can assist you!
