Some people recently heard from darkling post and how wings aviary was brought up and got the idea that her business was a bird mill. Well naturally people got concerned about buying from such a person. Well today I went down to visit her, with this on mind as well, but most just to see my bird and meet the breeder herself.

Well to start off with, I found out the 100+ birds was including her birds as well! Not babies alone. Today she had about 10 conures and 3 macaw babies, all of which got plenty of attention from her, the husband, and the husbands best friend. Each pair were given plenty of outside aviary room and were not 'forced' breeding.

The woman was extremely nice and helpful, very dedicated to her work, and very loving of her animals! She proudly exclaimed that her house was made specifically to meet the birds needs but also their own(there water heater was set for perfect formula heat, I was flabbergasted at hearing that lol).

Anyways, just wanted to throw that out so no one got a bad idea about her or her business.

I'm glad you got to check the place out for yourself! She did seem really nice over the phone. If she weren't so far away, I probably would have ended up getting a bird from her.

She really was quite nice to talk too, and on a cool note, she was actually already starting the weaning process for all the birds she held for longer than I think 4(?) weeks. By this I just mean she introduced the food to them.

She kept telling me to stop over thinking everything though or else I'll be the one going mad :).

I think it is very easy to over complicate things. Good luck with your baby!
