Ok I am going to tell you guys a little story that I have been meaning to post up, but havnt because I couldnt find the wire to my camra LOL

Ok so back when spring first hit, my mom went up to change her wreaths decoration ... yes she does it for every holiday/season... so she put up all her spring ornaments, the next day my mom say that some little bird was building a nest YAY... she wanted to knock it down but it was too last, she had layed her eggs... and they were blue and that could only mean one thing... it was a robins nest! Sure enough it was

so about last week my mom say that the babies had been hatched so I came running out to look. There were 4 little babies heads sticking out. Then I thought "OOO, camra!!!" I took a step foward to go back in the house to get my camra and as I did so one of the little babies jumped up and took off.... it was his first flight... and was a wonder to see i tell ya... momma bird went right over to see how his not so good of a landing turned out... then tried to feed him a worm, then comes daddy bird and both of them looked after the now hopping around little bird

they have all left the nest by now but I thought I would post the pictures I did get of them...

TOO cute we raised a baby blue jay once and tried a robin but he didn't make it - the lady that took over the getting the blue jay back to the wild part had lots of cockatiels and we have pictures of me playing with them when I was 4 the beginning of my love of birds although it was till I was 12 I got my first bird :)

Oh my they are just so precious.

I can't believe how much different the American Robin is to ours, Yours looks a lot bigger than ours .

Ours don't have quite as red a chest as yours has, and they don't have the black head. I'll have to try and get a pic of one of ours, Unfortunately we don't see that many here in the South. :(

Think I'll go and google and see what I can find out.

Wouldn't you just know it, every morning this week we've had a little robin come to eat the food we have out for them. This morning I'm stood at the door, bleary eyed as I'd just got up, waiting........... after 30 mins I think he's not coming so put the camera down to make a coffee and who should be eating when I look out the window, yep the little robin. :20: When I pick the camera up he flies off. :D

Oh and Peta they do answer..apparently there is this whole thing going on between shlugs and shnails...cosh shnails ish real shnobby cosh them ish having shells....they think they are better than the slugs but.. the slugs see themselves as free spirits not needing the trappings of a home and material things.
The snails think they are more evolved, more cosmopoliton. The slugs have signed an alliance with the thrushes and the snail population is getting desimated in my area.
Personally I find there are good slugs and bad one s same with the snails. I take em as I find em..even envy them ....imagine having both male and female reproductive organs how cool.. Red would never have time to come on line.. he could breed with himself and create a master race.... We would have to take an oath of sarcasm and wit promising to torment Debbie for an eternity...
