The only animals i know that fight over it is the fruit bats. We have a tree in the bush behind our house & I have never seen any wild parrots eating the fruit. I think it would probably safe but I wouldn't feed it to my parrots. It does have a strong smell. Yuck.

never heard of it, is it a west coast thing?

Someone I know found one in VA in a specialty grocery store. I don't think they're common in the US in general.

I can't say whether they're ok for birds or not though. I was not a fan of the flavor haha.

it's....special. It would have to taste better in a smoothie than it does raw. Though maybe I got a bad one. Not sure how to tell.....

The gentlemen who has the grey who flys outdoors posted about them. I cant remember his name. His grey was devouring them, like they were a special treat. He lives in the Philippians or maybe Singapore.

Durian isnt that common in the states. I buy it when ever I run across it at specialty markets (mostly Asian). I wanted to give some to my birds before I used it all.

Thank you Merlinsmom13, I think ill give them a little with tomorrows breakfast.
