Basil - Turquoise Green Cheek Conure :)
I've been watching videos on Youtube of the Pionus, and they're known to be pretty quiet. Though in the videos I see they usually are making crazy noises, and the owners usually have multiple birds.

My question is this:

Will parrots be less vocal with a one-parrot house? Or does it matter?

As far as I am aware Pionus are one of the quieter Parrots, although I expect they have their moments :)

I only have the one Parrot and OMG she is very, very vocal :)

I asked a similar question earlier and the general concensus among multiple bird owning families seemed to be that it absolutely is more noisey with more birds because one can make the ALL start talking/screaming/chirping. My guess is a pionus who might be quiet on its own could learn screaming from a buddy.
