KITTY: Pineapple Green Cheek Conure (2 year old)
BODE: Nanday Conure (5 years old)
KIWI & BLUE: English Budgerigars (RIP after 10 years)
What difference if any is there between the indian ringneck parakeet and the mustache parakeet? They look similar to me, but these two species are definitely ones with which I have little experience.

I suppose I want to add Plum headed parakeet to the question as to where they stand....I don't understand this bird family!

I don't have much experience with them either, but I just wanted to add that my favorite bird in the Indian ringneck family is the Plum Headed Parakeet. They are absolutely gorgeous!

The different colors of Indian ringnecks that you see are all mutations of the same species. The Indian ringneck, the moustache parakeet, the plum-headed parakeet, the Derbyan parrot, the Alexandrine, etc, are all different species of the same genus.
