This has no doubt been covered before, but not recently.

Here's a mature site:
The California Parrot Project

And here's a new one:
californiaflocks - YouTube

This guy started tracking flocks last summer in hope that his Illiger Macaw had joined one of them. He observes that American parrots thrive in flocks in SoCalif, but not Asian/Australian or African.

Went out for a drive today and passed around 100 Too's all nibbling on the lawns and about another 50 or so in the trees, it was an amazing site and I feel so lucky to see this daily.

On another note, do you ship your perches to Australia?

Sent PM, thanks.

I think a must-see for bird lovers is the PBS hour, "The Parrots of Oz." It has no doubt been shown there? Most programs, like on Brazil's Pantanal, give only glimpses of parrots, but this one is all out Toos.

I have our DVR programmed to catch all shows with parrot in title or description.

Very cool,i've never seen DYH X BFA hybridize before, usually BFA and OWA. On a side note, just discovered a flock of about 12 Nandays down the street a couple of miles from the house. They hang out at the KFC, LOL

Here's how our DreckTV remote does it:

MENU

(select) SEARCH & BROWSE

(select) SMART SEARCH

Spell out PARROT

Scroll over to the right until the first pgm is highlighted. Scroll down from there to find what's coming up, and then (select).

You can set it for Autorecord every pgm with Parrot, but most of them are animations, so I just check RECENT SEARCHES every week or so.

Two series I have found this way are, Petkeeping with Marc Morrone, and Birding Adventures. We also autorecord PBS "WILD", and others.

HTH,
