Spent an hour and a half outside today with Pepper and River, and Jemima and Elsie. Such a beautiful day!

I bet they were loving it outside, and what a beautiful view you have from your Front Porch :)

umm..I would never want to sound disrespectful, I'm 100% sure you are a premium care giver to your birds, no doubt, and getting them outside is the idea. I just find this a little hard to get my head around...could you push their cages out onto the deck? Just to give them a little more room to roam. If not, this must be the next best thing? Just don't know, for sure.

Without disassembling their cages, they wouldn't make it through the front door unfortunately. My dream is to one day be able to screen in the front porch to make them an aviary, but that probably won't be for a long time, it will be pretty costly.

River's coloring is magnificant. Love the way Pepper says get outa here! On a day such as we had today I would take the birds outside in whatever is available. Not everyone has a cage to use outdoors but I am sure you are working on that. I have had Rosie 3 years now and just got a cage for outside.

Oh by the way I saw the cutest thing while visiting my sister today. There is a tiny bird nest on the deck in a planter with little house wrens. Seven little chicks were in the nest and mom and dad were at the grocery store. Every one of thise little beaks was open and waiting. How adorable is nature. I did not have my camera with me. Darn!!

Thank you! "Get outta here" or sometimes "Let's get outta here" is a favorite phrase of Pepper's. The first time she said it was a couple days after we got her. I walked into her then quarrantine room, and she was out of her cage sitting on the back of a chair pleased as could be! I put her back in her cage, and turned to go fill her bowls when she said "Let's get outta here!" I think my jar hit the floor! LOL. She has since then had a clamp put on her door.

I am really happy with how nice River's coloring has gotten too. It really shows up nicely out in the natural light.

I do want to get some other kind of cage that I can take outside, perhaps the same one you got, or in my dreams the kings carriers at msbs.

Hahn's macaw, RIP George, Jenday Conure
Oh you non-Californians... We go out every morning with the dogs, Hahnzel gives me some hassle at first but then loves his time outside.

I use a small cage like you would use for a parakeet for his outdoor time. When we travel on office and bank day I use my Celltei Pak-o-Bird carrier for him and we also go for walks with the dogs with that too.

I was very tempted today to roll Sassy's cage, (with her in it), out onto our deck today. It's a beautiful day here in Cali, also! The only thing that stopped me was my fear of Amigo coming to investigate, still too soon.
