Dear Barb,

I am just writing you this because I wanted to ask you about my mom's parrot. She used to be mine and when I moved out I let my mom keep her. Well since my mom has recently started working she does not have time for her. My mom called me today telling me that if I could not take her by the coming weekend(11-10-12) that she would post an add to re-home her this weekend. She is doing this because it is not fair to Roxy( the bird) who is so used to attention most of the day to now be in a cage home alone from 9 to 6 everyday. I would be heart broken if we had to get rid of her since we have had her since she was 6 months old, she is now 5. She is a very sweet bird, about 8 inches from head to tail feathers. Her wings are clipped so she can not fly and we do not let her on the floor or roam free for safety reasons. She has a very large cage that she is in when not supervised and has a play gym that she is on when my mom is doing anything from watching tv to doing dishes, that is if she is not holding her. My mom has not had any problems with her doing any damage to the house they rent the time that she has had her. So my question is would it be ok if I took her back? I would assure you that she would not cause any problems and would not do any damage to your beautiful house and we would also be willing to put down a small deposit to be able to keep her($100 or so). Also if you would like you could inspect the house to see that the dogs have not done any damage as promised.
The reason I wrote you a letter is because I wanted to give you time to think about this and get back with me. Please call at *********(Jordens cell) as mine is gone getting repaired again.
Thanks so much for reading this and for your consideration.
Shelby

Just wanted everyone's input on this. Is there anything I should add or leave out?:white1:

I don't know if you are renting in an apartment complex or not, but if you are, you may want to add that the parrot is QUIET ;)

Well it is true(mostly), I am(may be, if I get permission) getting a bird from my mom that used to be mine. She gets along very well with other birds so I want to get her a companion. I work thirds and I want to be able to get some sleep during the day. So the other bird was going to be a companion to her. It is really just a thought on the other bird. My old bird Roxy is a lesser cockatoo and my mom really cant keep her because of work.

Also we are renting the house.:white1:
thanks
