Congo African Grey, Chance
Got him home yesterday after the long care ride. So happy he came right out of the carrier into one of the perches. After exploring he started eating! He is such a brave boy! ( if you want to hear more about him its all in the post " Im finally getting my Grey"

But anyways the lady at the rescue called him twitch but I dont really like that name. He was caught in the wild and imported they think in 92 so he is probably about 20 (age doesn't matter to me i just want to give the little guy a good home)
I have looked at names online and sit out everything I could like of and just nothing sounds right. So have at it everyone!

Mana the manic female galah; yet to be named male corella
I am prone to giving my animals ridiculous names. My new bird is going to end up being something like "Sir Charles Gooseington the third"... aka Goose. LOL

I'd call this guy something like "Red pants the pirate" Or "Mr Randy Red Pants" or "Sir Robin Red Pants" and all because he has a red tail :) LOL yes... Im a nutter!

I think he might need a dignified name though... Sir Reginald Red Bum! lol
No no... how about giving him an african name? I love african names, strong and interesting!

"Jax" Red-sided Eclectus ~ "Peaches" Lutino Lovebird ~ "Skid" Peachface Lovebird ~ "Bo" and "Peep" Cockatiel's ~ "Opie" Galah
Here is a list of African boy names and their meanings.. African Names & Meanings | African Boy Names | Baby Names | Parents Connect
I'm scouting these types of list's for my (fingers crossed) new addition coming a couple of months.

I usually name my animals after tv/book/or movie Characters. Jax is after Jax Teller in Sons of Anarchy. I've had a dog called Rocky. My husband had a cat called Kruger. LOL..

I know its over used but i think its gonna be Chance. I wanted something more creative but for some reason Chance just sticks.
Yes hes a rescue, he come from a really bad home! Was kept in a small L shaped box with a female, it had no perches in it and they where feading him just peanuts and sunflower seeds. Hes bald from the female and is missing a toe and has one dislocated. But hes doing so much better now. I will take better pics when I can get close with the camera and not scare him, I will try tomorrow.

CHEBE pronounced CHEH-beh means chance, luck or fortune.
JUBA (JOO-bah) means fearless
SUDI (SOO-dee) means Luck
TEZI (TEH-zee) one who stays.
They are all African names.

I searched like this for all 3 of my kids and still called them names out of my head and not from a list. LOL.. I love looking at names and meanings though.

An L shaped box? How does that even work? Poor guy. I like Chance too seriously it does seem to fit him.
