Hey everyone,
I'm new to this forum, but have been browsing it in an attempt to decide which bird is right for my lifestyle. I have owned birds before, so I am not a complete beginner, but I would like some advice as to which bird would be more appropriate for me now. I am looking for something friendly and social (I realize the bird will be social as long as it is exposed to people and whatnot), but also something that won't be too aggressive or loud. I'm a doctor and would be keeping the bird in my office with me for most of the time, and bringing them home at night to my family.
What I have been considering: Cockatoos (specifically the rose breasted and smaller varieties), types of Conures, an African Gray, or something of the sort...
I am basically looking for a bird that is not too big, but not very small, who will be social but not extremely loud. Also, I live in an apartment, so I am looking for a bird who can fit this lifestyle as well. They would get plenty of attention and socialization, and would only be in the cage at night.
Any input or education would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
