ok so today one of my new guys prince seems to rather stay in the bird room whilst the others are in the loungeroom on play stand.
i understand that it could be because thats where the cages are and he feels safer and just settling, but he doesnt go to his cage, he goes to oxy's.

each time i bring him out he will fly back, should i continue proactively bringing him out or just leave him be?

If the bird was in a previous pet bird setting, Oxy's cage may remind it of a previous cage...

I'd keep trying...eventually he'll want to stay with the others.....

Previous birds: 2 Quakers, 2 budgies, Nanday conure, Indian ringneck, 2 tiels, Red Lory, 300+ finches.
Our new quaker was abandoned by the side of a road in her cage. Cage was dented on top like someone maybe hit it.

We move Aubrey to a diff cage right away and that seemed to help her attitude a bit. I think whoever dumped her must have teased her in the cage and hit the cage top, so it had negative associations for her.

Poor Aubrey! I can't believe how cruel some people can be. :-(
