Just saw this on my old vets facebook:

We have been advised by our supplier that all importing of Harrison’s products into Australia has been suspended due to a change in licensing protocols. Unfortunately this may take up to 2 months to be resolved, and as such we are unable to obtain Harrison’s Bird Pellets until further notice.

Stock up if you're bird's fussy I guess, I don't use Harrison's any more but thought you Aussies would like to know.

1 red bellied parrot (Mango), 3 cockatiels (Bugsie, Alfie, and Bananas)
I hope this doesnt affect importing/shipping in Canada, this is the only decent pellet I have available to me in my area. I dont even know what else I would feed.

I posted this straight away when I saw the vet post it, so you can all stock up!! Mine eat roudybush and vetafarm so I'm good! Just wanted to let others know, I don't think my vet would lie about this.... I'd assume there'd be a fair amount still available for now, just later on it might be slim pickings.

I can't find anywhere on their web site that says anything about it, maybe call where you buy from and ask them directly?

Good idea. Ozzie still have a full packet, which I guess will last him about a month. And the last time I went to the vet, they had lots more in the storage room, so I guess it will be fine.

If I really can't get the Harrison's, I'll go with either dr macs or pretty bird which my vet recommends.

Thanks for letting me know :)

I go to Burwood bird and animal hospital. They are specialist in avian care. And they also have Dr Mac's organic (the only Austrlian made organic parrot pellet), pretty bird, vetafarm and passwell pellets.

I've just searched it up, it's 62km from you. So that is a little far away...

My avian vet is in Springvale anyway, so it's about an hour from here to springvale, and about an hour from here to burwood aswell! Lol
But my vet also sells these brands, just wanted to know if it was any closer!
Like maybe a ten or fifteen min drive would be awesome to get everything! That's why I'm normally ordering online, it comes to my doorstep lol
