nonbird people just dont get it.

My roommate was asking why I allow my TAG and Quaker on my shoulder but not the new Zon. I was trying to tell him that I have long standing relationships with the two. I know why and when they bite so I trust them not to bite as long as we avoid triggers while they are on my shoulder. Even though the Zon has a softer bite then the other two. I am still not sure when or why he bites. He also likes to play bite me, while this never hurts if he turned and got me in the eye he could do some real damage. The roommate did not understand, they are just parrots how can you read them? I did not even try to expland farther.

Lol it's sometimes hard to get us bird people and our reasoning. I won't even share half of the things Sierra says because she is just flat out shocking how smart she is. She really will hold a conversation. If told a non bird person what she does they might think i am lying or hearing her wrong.

Tonight's conversation
Sierra was on her cage normally she likes to be inside when i vaccuum.

I said Sierra, i am going to Vaccuum now. Are you ready to go back in your cage?

Sierra: I'm ready for night night.

Me: Okay let's put you back in your cage.

Sierra: I don't want to go

Me: Well, if you want to go night night you have to back in your cage anyway. Are you ready?

Sierra I don't want to go back. (yes she really said that)

So i got the Vaccuum...

Me: Sierra i am going to turn the Vaccuum on...
When i got to needing to Vaccum under her cage i Said Sierra, i have to put you back now so i can Vacuum under your cage.

Sierra: Alright.

Then when i got the bed time covers out There were Many I am ready for night nights and beddie byes from Sierra and Sam. I love my birds haha- they really are little fids. I do admit to keeping track of the things they say. A non bird person would never understand. It's interesting to see how Sierra has grown of the years, her conversations are better than when she was younger.

we know our birds. people think we are crazy for putting up with Munch's shenanigans! "it's just a bird"... yeah they don't get it. i hope maybe one day these people will be lucky enough to know just how much they could understand lol

Or they come over and think they're getting the death glare when the look at them sidways ;p
