So I've got a dilemma...

Punkys (Galah) tests finally came back and she's all healthy (yay!), so I moved her into my 'bird room' with the other Fids yesterday... (The term birdroom being used very lightly there lol, they're in a room together and thats about as far as I've got with it so far ;) )

They've all had turns out of the cage since Punkys introduction...

But... Punky likes to land on Tonks' (cockatiel) cage, and Tonks kept 'lunging' at her... He doesn't like the lovies either, but just moves away rather than attacking...
Aaaand... The lovebirds like landing on Punkys cage, which Punky definitely doesn't like and goes to attack there feet every time...
Tonks is clipped, so unable to land on any cage, and none of them have landed on the lovies cage as it has a full covered roof (not wire)...

What do I do?!?! How do I keep them safe? Do I just have to remove the other cages from the room when one is out??
From what I can tell they're interested in each other and have spent the last 2 days all talking (not screaming) to each other, I never had intentions of letting them all out together, but I didn't even consider this being a problem (silly, I know) :/

1 green cheek conure (Kumar)
2 male budgies (Charlie and Diego)
I was worried about that as well, so I went to the hardware store (after measuring the top of cage) and had a piece of plexiglass cut to fit and put it on there. It's invisible but protects my budgies feet if they happen to land on the conure cage. It only cost about 12 dollars.

That's a great idea Kalidasa, thanks :) Unfortunately it won't stop them from landing on the sides and I don't like the idea of covering the whole cage in perspex lol... Unless I only attach it when others are out??
Will definitely get some for the top though as that is there first choice of where to go...

I'm having the exact same issue with Safari(my senegal) enjoying and risking her life when she climbs on Ninja's new cage.
god, my heart stops!!!!none of the birds challenge Safari except for Ninja.
right now all the tops of my cages are covered with blankets, and all the birds know not to go near Safari or Ninja's cage.....except Safari.
those two are always into combat, and I am going to end up in a blood bath soon. :(

your galah can do some major damage. I just wish there was something we could use to fit all the cages, top and sides.....maybe we can brain storm and come up with something!
