Hi folks,

I hope you can help me. I've just had an escapee bird in the garden and I'd like to identify it so I can lure him down with some bird song. I'm in the UK and I don't think it'll survive in the wild.

possibly an Eastern Rosella, but it doesn't really matter what type it is, pretty sure like cockatiel girl said it is a Rosella.

they are fairly large parrots, and very beautiful.

Can you see a band on it?

good luck in trying to lure him down :)

Thanks guys.

I've found some Rosella clips on youtube which I'll try and play to him. He's flown off for now but there's plenty of seeds and fruit in the garden so he might be back.

If you can set up a cage with food and water, he might be hungry enough to try it out :)
