Male senegal - Stephen. Previously Barry - Male Barraband
Nelson - Male Eclectus
So i have just got my second bird (literally hours ago) and i want to do this right!
He is just under 3month old male Eclectus and since getting him home he has had a little wander around on the ground then i put him in his cage (with the door open) to explore but he hasnt moved from where i have put him. He just seems to be sitting there watching me and honking(?) and stretching now and then. He was described by his breeder as a very cuddly bird.
I figure just leaving him to it is the best option for now and let him come out and explore in his own time but what tips and tricks have you got for me over the course of the next few days/weeks to get off on the right foot with him and keep him happy while earning his trust?
With my other boy (little barraband) i just left him to it and he was quite happy to come out and explore and take food (very food orientated).
