New Baby

Hi everyone,I just wanted to introduce you all to my new baby Halo. He is a Rosy Bourke and he is 8 months old. We're not sure if he is a boy but my oldest son thinks he is lol. We are going to find out for sure in a few weeks. He is such a sweet boy and my kids can hold him without the fear of being bitten. Arwyn was going crazy the first couple of days he was here but she has calmed down now. They are starting to mimic each other's calls now. Well here he is!

We have a new bird too, and two boys. Like yours, mine are assuming we have a boy. We aren't bothering with the testing. If he ever lays and egg he will change to a girl. In the meantime, he is a boy.

I take it you got your bird pre-owned as well due to the age. Ours was young, he only lasted 2 weeks with his first owners, but I'm glad they got rid of quickly when they saw it wasn't working. He has completely adapted to us, despite it being just over 2 weeks that we have had him.

How old are your boys? Are they really into the bird? Mine are wanting to learn everything about them - ties in nicely with their dinosaur studies as well. They are completely reassessing their opinion of dinosaur intelligence now as they know the dinosaur bird relationship. The big question of the day here - if you hand raised a velociraptor or troodon - could you make it tame like a bird? It might be just as well we can't try it....

Just wanted to add - ours is named Hal after the green angry bird, but again - a lot in common with yours. Ours is a Quaker. I gather at least one of your boys loves the X-Box? Mine do too but they are into Minecraft. They are 5 and 8 and we live in Belfast, Northern Ireland. If yours are interested in penpals let me know.
