Hello,
We have two Alexandrine Parakeets. One is a female (4yrs) and one is a male (we think ... black ring starting to show, who is 2 yrs). Lately, the female has been acting as if she wants to nest ... this is the first time we've seen this behaviour. We've been checking out websites to find information on breeding ... with little success. Does anyone have a really great source of information (links or recommendations) that we can access as it looks as though we will be new grandparents (ha ha) in the near future.
We weren't necessarily looking at breeding these birds when we aquired them ... we just thought they could keep each other company. However, as we all know, these beautiful birds get their own way ... so, if breeding is where we're headed then we are willing to take on this challenge.
Any help or information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
