Ever since i got a second cage,i have a little problem with space.
I have an bed that you can pull in but unfortunately that function broke.
Which means since the cage is at the foot of it that cleaning the cage is now a difficult task.
I have to pull the first one away first then the second and put the first where the second was and then all over again.
So this week i am going to buy a one person bed.
Which is kind off a joke,5 years ago i had finally bought a 2 person bed,i was so happy.
Then 1,5 year after that i got 4 budgies so threw the bed away and got the pull in course else their big cage didn't;t fit.
Now i have to trow away my inbetween pull in.
Why,not buy another one?!i decided that space for an other java tree is more important.
That and the fact that it would be enough space for a cage if a bird might need a good home,i don't want have to them over because of a to big bed.

So you people ever did something like this ,just so you could give them more space?

The only furniture in my room anymore not counting the queen bed that I'm still refusing to compromise on is a skinny book stand stuffed behind my door (which is soon to have a bunch of bird stuff stored on it) and a little stand that holds the humidifier (which is also for the birds). I rearranged my room yesterday and now it has a spot for Folgers new stand that we are building soon. So basically I just sleep in the bird room:D

I did joke that I could just get rid of my bed and fit a couple macaw sized cages in my room and then I could just sleep on the floor in the middle of the room with the food remains:p

OH THANK GOD!!! I am not the only lunatic here!!!

After having our home destroyed by Hurricane Sandy, our house is STILL not finished. It's been a year and a half now. Our bedroom was finished in May, and it was beautiful.....and in July we got our first bird. The only safe place to keep them is in our room. Now there are three birdcages in there......soon to be four. Lokis cage is on my night table. We had a wall of sliding door closets, and the doors are coming off.....so we can put the cages there. And there's Lokis tree stand. The huge Macaw cage is in the corner.

It's true. We live in a bird room. I'm waiting to come home to some kind of intervention. I really have a problem. I just love them so much.

There are some mighty nice sleeping bags should you decide to forgo the bed completely. And Walmart sells air matresses in the twin size so you could squeeze your bed in a corner, closet or bathroom.

Not that I'm your enabler or anything.....
