Am I the only one who continuously researc

I have been part of the bird world on and off for the past 13 years and I still research cockatiels. About every three months I google information on them go on sites I have previously used and trust as well as coming on here (usually when I have a new bird or am thinking about getting one). I just like knowing the most up to date information on them as well as some other birds I am considering getting eventually such as a pionus (preferably a dusky pionus) or caquie. Am I the only one who does this?

Nope.
Always looking for stuff to read... Forums, blogs, websites, books, I'm always wanting to know more about my fids.
It's really cool cause it keeps me busy.

There's always updated information about any of the parrots or animals. Things I didn't know about although I've been breeding and keeping them for so many years. I believe we all do that and read any info we can.

I am always reading, I feel like I am constantly learning something new that seems like something you should not keep birds unless you know. I am currently reading a book on parrots published in 1992, and some of the things are pretty startling. I can only imagine what we are doing to the poor babies now that people in 20 years will cringe at!

I don't just do it cockatiels I also do it with dogs (I am more of a dog person to be honest) for the last 11 years or so the only item on my Christmas list has been an AKC book of dogs funny thing is I have never gotten it but I still look up stuff on different breeds all the time.

I agree with Mikey. We can NEVER stop learning There is always new information coming out, and I think most of us do research especially before getting something new.

When I was a child and young teen, I was a complete dog nerd! I had the official AKC book and a bunch of dog books I'd always study haha. To this day, I remember what I learned many years ago, and I can spot and call out correctly the most obscure dog breeds... (Completely useless talent :52 I once stopped a couple with a Cane Corso Mastiff that no one else around was guessing correctly... the couple was stunned that I knew. Ironically, most of my dog knowledge is "book knowledge" and I admit that if I had a dog of my own now as an adult, especially a large breed, I'd be in over my head. I'd need a dog forum lol. Still do love dogs.

A DUSKY PIONUS is a "THE dream bird" of mine. We can't have another bird for the foreseeable future, but hypothetically speaking, that's what I'd get next.

I do the same thing. I'll read everything and anything I can find on the subject. There will always be something new to learn and I don't want to miss it.

Oh yes I never stop researching, their is always something new to learn and ideas

I'm new to being a parrot mummy (6 months only), and I find myself looking up questions on behaviours, training, pretty much ANYTHING bird related almost daily! I love it!

Nope not alone, I think we all still do that.
