I'm sorry if I'm posting inthe wrong forum. I didn't know if I needed to go to questions and answers or parrot info. I chose here. Please correct me of I'm wrong. Anyhoo I signed up for this account because I picked up a parrot and wanted help identifying the breed and possibly the sex. Any help will be appreciated. Thank you.

Looks like you've got a Quaker. If you want to know the sex, you'll have to do a DNA test. Try Avian Biotech.

Yes! It's a dear little Quaker Parrot. It's good you came to ask your questions - I do hope you'll stay and continue to ask more. Everyone's more than happy to help you with whatever you'd like to find out and we'd like to get to know you and your Quaker. :)

Welcome to the forum!

Presently have six Greenwing Macaw (17 yo), Red Fronted Macaw (12 yo), Red Lored Amazon (17 y.o.), Lilac Crowned Amazon (about 43 y.o.) and a Congo African Grey (11 y.o.)
Panama Amazon (1 Y.O.)
Definitely a quaker. Can't tell sex without a DNA test...

So, not to be overly nosey, but how did you come by this parrot, did the person you got it from not know the species? Did it just happen to land in your yard? What's up with that?

Tell us more.
