Babysat the shelter over the weekend once again since Jeanne and John ran down to Georgia to pick up a bunch of birds and a new trailer. Here are all the new birds....we even have a pink guy now!

There are five new amazons....the yellow nape is just gorgeous! I told Kelly I'm going to trade him in:p The yellow nape is a bit lets say difficult...pain in the butt??? Trying to bite everyone?....

So we have the yellow nape in this pic, the half bald double yellow headed amazon who was in a breeding program, and one of the new blue fronts.

The other blue front that wasn't invited to the three musketeer group...

Here is the spectacle amazon and the timneh grey.

The pink guy...

Two old conures. They are a pair a blue crowned and a cherry headed.

And me playing with one of Jeannes softbills....I didn't even realize he liked to finger wrestle until Jeanne said he does and then sure enough he wondered over and started grabbing at my fingers.

They are transfers from a shelter in Georgia and they were all in that shelter for a little while. The grey looks perfect and we already have a couple adopters in mind for the grey once he is done in quarantine though they might have already adopted someone by then:)

O no! A gang with all the "hot 3" zons accounted for:eek:

I doubt the "passivist" BFA, "pink guy", the "normal parrots" (CAG and spectacled) and the old guys can take on that trio:D I doubt all the humans at the shelter can;) Bribe them with treats and hope they are feeling merciful:54:

I love the "Mexican Mafia" photos. We have a gang like that at the local rescue.

And that one you are wrestling with, what is he? (Besides adorable!)

By the way, in case anybody was curious, that "pink guy" is a Rose-Breasted Cockatoo - they're calm.

They're not really a cockatoo in my personal opinion of what a cockatoo is -

More like an oversized cockateil :p (I uised to call them old lady bird when describing them to certain customers as a joke)

Nahh im just kidding, their awesome birds too! all birds are kewl

The one in the video is a hornbill:)

Well the galah was at the other shelter for three years so we are all kind of assuming there is something wrong with him behavior wise.....optimists right:p...I mean come on he is a galah there should have been a line out the door for him but instead he was at the shelter for three years...he seems sweet but we will all see after he settles in. We do know he has some real cage aggression issues but not sure if there is anything else quite yet!

Kiwi almost all of our amazons are members of the hot three! We only have 4 who are not and we have something like 15 amazons or so now. And Rosie was trying to eat my face when I babysat this time! At least Sweetie Monster was nice to me.

I also played with the hyacinth macaw for awhile....he has reached maturity so he is a bit bratty right now but he wasn't too bad with me he actually wouldn't go back in his cage when I went to put him back:) Jeanne's green wing Manny was making kissing noises to me and dancing but I felt it was a trick so I didn't take him out....he usually doesn't have a fondness for other people besides Jeanne but he has been nice to me the last couple times I was there...definitely feels like a trick...

I did get attacked by a red lory one of the sanctuary birds! Supposedly he is special needs but he dropped from the top of the cage to attack my arm so he seems real healthy to me. And the disabled umbrella bit my hand...apparently the special need birds had something against me this weekend!

Ps...oh and Kiwi John still wants to create that amazon flock with all those hot three amazons...I'm not taking care of that aviary...nope no way!
