CAG Quincy - BD 3/27/00. Gotcha 6/00 ~ GW Macaw Savannah - BD 6/21/93. Gotcha 4/13 ~ B&G Macaw Coqui - BD 9/3/03. Gotcha 10/13 ~ Blue Crown Conure Sidney - BD Unknown Approx 5 Years Old. Gotcha 6/15/
I decided to order some hoodies for my two macaws Savannah & Coqui as weather gets chilly up here in Vermont. I figure this will allow them to go outdoors with me a bit longer in the season.

They are so darn cute!

To see more pics of them in their hoodies go to my blog post at: The Sweet Life Of A Parrot: Our New Fashions!

I took Savannah for an all afternoon outing with hers on. She did great. They seem very comfortable in them. Here is a link to pics on her adventure. The Sweet Life Of A Parrot: A Day Out With Savannah!

If you want the link to the website where I got these, it is Avian Fashions - Home of the Revolutionary Bird Diaper, the FlightSuit!

I am going to be using their flight suites on my linnies soon and hopefully my grey Quincy. Fingers crossed! :09:

Absolutely ADORABLE! You're so lucky they allow you to put them in hoodies! I bet they will enjoy every last day they can come up before it gets too cold. And even indoors during the deep winter up there, I'm betties they'll appreciate the extra warmth:)

If only I could explain to Kiwi that wearing something like that would allow him to come out in cooler weather.... Instead, he would just amputate my finger:( I've been trying to think of a way to integrate a custom snuggle hut in his carrier, but I'm not sure I would trust it could keep him warm enough. Can you have your birds give him a call an explain in parrot how cool a hoodie is:D:D:D

I SO :smile015: those photos, Blanca! :D Both Coqui and Savannah look adorable (and quite chic) in their hoodies.

I know for a fact I'd lost a limb (or two) if I were to try those on my big macs. Now the Amazons on the other hand.... :54:

Thanks Kiwibird! I've already seen first hand Savannah cuddle up right into the hood when it was a bit cold at the playground the other day. I think she already appreciates the warmth. I have yet to take Coqui outside in one but hope to soon. My Quincy is like your Kiwi. I won't even try a hoodie on him. No way I'm getting that over his head! LOL! But I hope to get him in a flight suite. My fingers and toes are crossed on that one! My birds would be happy to explain how cool it is! Just not sure your Kiwi, like my Quincy, is easily convinced! LOL!:D

Thanks Wendy! :D Like I said, I feel lucky I can get them on! :09: At least your zons are more cooperative! ;)

Ahhh, soooo soooo cute!! I bought one for my new blue and gold, but I think I'd better give him some more time at home before I think about introducing him to it. Your pictures tempt me sorely, though. Way cuter than I even imagined!

My Macs were used to harnesses, so that made it easier. I would get your new baby used to it first. Lots of changes for him/her in a new home. So adjustment time is a good idea.

Good luck! I hope Kelly likes it. There are tips for getting them used to the hoodie and that should help!
Love the hoodies. :)

I have one for Bundii but when it turned up up was too small.
They are really good about exchanging for a different size. No time limit either. Very nice people to deal with. :)

Aww...those are adorable! If I could only make Sassy believe it was her idea to wear one I might have a shot of getting one on her:54:

Adorable. Pritti would never have allowed it. But I'm going to order one and try it on "blue birdie". Do you know of any videos that show someone putting the hoodies on?

I know there are some on YouTube. Just search avian hoodie. If I have time I will look for one for you.

RIP Gandalf and Big Bird, you are missed.
So cute! Not sure any of my tame parrots would tolerate this, but just might give it a try!!

There is no way in a million years my GW would ever sit still for something like that, and she's the BEST shot I'd have at it...
