My friend is on holidays, so we are watching a couple of birds from her rescue.
This is Lucy Loo, a U2 who self mutilates. So far so good, she has not gotten around her collar. She is such a sweetheart, and I never realized how sweet their voices are:)

This is Twitchy, an adorable little GCC who is still pretty wild.
I was hoping that he and Phoe would get along, and he seems to love Phoe, but Phoe is not in the least bit interested in getting to know him.

Nice collar for Lucy. I don't see that there's any way around that thing! Twitchy looks so sweet!

That is so true! Hahaha! He's giving that sideways glance like a real trouble-maker! (To anyone with cartoon watching young'uns at the moment: it's that same look Max the rabbit gives right before he causes trouble for his sister, Ruby! Lol!)

Awww... I just want to give Lucy a big hug! She looks so sweet, and soft:) And Twitchy is a cutie too. I bet he would get friendlier with a little work.

Julie, believe it or not she has gotten the collar off a couple of times now, thankfully before she came here. I am holding my breath every morning when I uncover her, praying that she did not get to herself during the night:(

Twitchy is quite the instigator, good call Karen! He is such a little character..lol

Stephen, apparently I have been without small children too long, I will have to look that reference up..lol.

Lucy is my first experience with a large 'too, and I have fallen in love:) Allee, you warned me that this would happen!

Awww, they are so beautiful! :)

Thank you! I think so too, it has been a thrill to have them here to visit:)

April, Twitchy is going to make someone a wonderful baby...he has come leaps and bounds since he came to the rescue, and will step up now and allow scritches:) Once she gets back form her trip and has some more time to really work with him he is going to turn right around.

There is just something that is so compelling about a plucker or self mutilator. I wish there was something that could be done to take away the pain they feel inside to do that to themselves.
