And I was in love. We went to the store that we got Venus from and they had a galah which I saw immediately and had him on my hand in seconds. Then there was a CAG named Jake that wanted head scritches. Husband threatened to drag me out of the store. Beautiful babies and I didn't realize the Galah was as small as it is compared to an umbrella cockatoo. I thoroughly enjoyed the visit.

Awww!! My husband does the same -well, he gives me *that look* lol

The size difference is pretty amazing, isn't it?? The first time I met an umbrella I thought "wow! She's HUGE!!" Lol and she was big compared to chili who's petite at 260g [emoji33]

My girl is "little". There are different types of galah. Whichever one mine is is the smaller one. The other ones are a bit bigger. (how knowledgeable I am :D, I must find the information and be coherent, but you know what I mean). She seems big compared to the budgies and weiros, but compared to other types of bigger parrot, she's tiny.

This was my first galah to see in person and he/she was spunky. He would beak my hand and bite, I'd say ow and push his beak back and after the second time he fluffed up doing the lion face you all have talked about. I couldn't stop laughing at him, just so cute. This one was about the size of a male Ekkie. Absolutely gorgeous.

Sounds like the bird bug has bit :) Tell your husband that RB2s are pretty quiet for Too and would fit in nice with your flock. They say males talk a lot [you should hear my Owen :) }.

I would love to have more birds but with Venus joining our flock and three dogs, that's good for now. Maybe down the road we will add some to our flock but for now we are good and I like to visit the birds at the store and torment Husband, lol!

I saw my little Galah buddy today, but apparently I'm his buddy but he's not mine, lol. I put my hand up for him to step up and he grabbed my finger and started chewing on it, like he has done the previous time. No injury and I was expecting him to bite. I tell him he's not nice and get the extreme puff monster which I have to laugh at. He's a beauty.

But I visited with a red macaw that came immediately up on my arm, starting pinning his eyes, making goo goo eyes, and saying "Hello!" While he and I were visiting, he started moving his rear in a very familiar move. Husband came up and the macaw was not happy and got a little ugly but kept making goo goo eyes and noises. Husband told me I was crazy for holding him. Well he started trying to come up my arm and I told him no. I put him on his perch, he went reluctantly. Another customer went up to him and the macaw reacted totally different, get away, and don't touch me, lol! I told him not to touch him, not a good time. I'm giggling and husband is looking at me funny, so is the other customer, and there were kids there so I tried to hint to both men what was going on with the bird politely but they just looked at me funny. A store clerk came over and the other customer asks "what is he doing?" I look at the macaw and cracked up and told the clerk and the guys, "He needs a girlfriend or a boyfriend." I walked away laughing. So today I experienced for a first, a bird "making popcorn" with his/her perch, lol!!!! The clerk moved the randy bird to the back for a time out, ROTFL!!!!!! Later I told husband I want a macaw, he just growled under his breath. Great times!

A Galah, a Mac and a CAG? That bird store is really taking advantage of bird lovers! Stay strong, and keep worrying your husband.
