My babies are all packed up and ready to move to Arizona! I'm moving to go back to school and start on the loooooooong road to finally becoming a vet (avian????? equine?????? ahhhh can't decide). Maybe a vet degree will help me finally diagnose this "cough" that Espresso has magically picked up ever since I was sick a few months ago......... ;)

Ready to hit the road! Not my ideal travel cage but she will mostly be on her car perch :grey:

1 BFA- Kiwi. Hatch circa 98', forever home with us Dec. 08'
Have a safe trip and may Espresso be excited about her big adventure;) Kiwi traveled 3 days in a smaller cage than that when we moved from Arizona to Oregon, and he was the happiest bird on earth (loves driving, he thought it was a great trip lol). Just a thought, but theres a big need for an AV in the northern part of Arizona. Everyone up north has to either visit a non-avian vet or drive to Phoenix/Tucson when their bird is sick/injured.

Good vets see worth their weight in gold, so whatever specialty you choose they will be lucky to have you. Safe trip!

Thank you all for the well wishes! We made it without a hitch and with many misting breaks. I'm very excited to start this new chapter. I'm not actually starting school back up for about a year but I plan on doing all I possibly can while I wait.

Good to know. Northern Arizona is of my favorite part of Arizona

I am so glad you all made it safely:)
Was it a nice drive? How did Espresso do?
I am also so excited that you are becoming a vet...you are going to be an amazing one.

It was a pretty rough drive...I didn't sleep well the night before so we made lots and lots of stops. Espresso did wonderfully though! She has been to "grandma's" before on a visit so it has made the transition nice and smooth (for her at least...even if it is only for a few months, moving back with mom is not my favorite hahaha).
Thank you so very much! That means so much to hear :D

Good to hear it went well traveling with Espresso :). Now you can catch up on some much needed sleep!

What do you particularly like about Northern Arizona?

It is absolutely gorgeous with lots of trees and wildlife! Sedona is probably my favorite city in the US (wine country! Whoop!)
