Iā€™ve read that many parrots (especially Ecletus) love Pomegranate. I didnā€™t read, however, how to prepare it. Are they supposed to get just the seeds, or can they eat the outsides too? I think they would enjoy digging through to find the seeds inside, but I donā€™t want to poison them in the process.

As long as you wash the outside they will be fine for them Bucc never eats the outside, but he loves hunting round getting the seeds out, It also makes them forage for it. Bucc adores them but watch out for walls, carpet etc they can sure make a mess with them. :D

I once made a mistake of leaving a small piece in Buccs cage overnight and nearly had heart failure the following morning, the cage, walls, carpet and all down Buccs front was covered red, I really thought he had hurt himself until I got a bit nearer and realised :18: :18: :18:

I acn just imagine what it looked like Peta. got any photos?:D

Wish I did, but at the time I was so worried that he had hurt himself that cleaning up was the most important thing. I'm always really careful to take every bit out BEFORE I go to bed. :D
