I finally got around to checking the local hardware stores, and indeed found a few stainless steel hangers for the ceiling! Also got some stainless steel links to replace the awful pear links on some of Kyo's toys.

Then I stopped into a pet store that I haven't been to before, and they actually had boings!:green2: I haven't been able to find them anywhere other than online!

We cut a nice birch branch from a tree in our yard that I need to bake, but I'm hoping to make it into a nice hanging play-gym eventually :)

Having a good day off birdie shopping :)

__ also, I found a little rubber treat ball for small puppies (holes just big enough for kyo's beak but no chance for his head to get through), I was wondering if that would be okay to hide a few treats in while he's out? I wouldn't trust to leave it in his cage unsupervised, but would this be a good toy for him do you think? Or should I donate it to the kitties? :p

I'm in Halifax NS Canada :( so sometimes it takes me time to find what I need. Luckily enough we do have 3 certified avian vets within a 30 minute drive (one is actually 5 mins away from my house), but toys and hardware that are actually bird safe are harder to come by.
