my meyers likes to play with cat toys sometimes when she decides to steal them form my cat, but she likes to play with the ones with feathers, is this ok? or can it lead to plucking? she likes to preen them and sometimes she'll go maniac on them lol

I hate to ruin Dotty's fun, but I wouldn't let her play with anything your cat has played with. Dog and cat saliva is very dangerous to our feathered friends. I've looked at the feathered kitty toys (that sounds bad) but I'm not sure about the materials used, maybe I'm paranoid, just my humble opinion. It's your decision, we'll see what others say.

I can't say for cat toys but I've been tempted by hamster and rodent toys (wooden, cardboard and vine ones i mean).

I've gotten a few things before (a cardboard toy tube and some pinecones) and cleaned them before using them, but is that safe?

in terms of materials (especially wooden and vine) are there any things that are outright not safe for birds but would be safe for rodents?

oh i dont let her use the same toys as my cat anymore after i found out she liked them i gave her 2 of her own. tru about the matirials though. the ones ive got are mostly plastick with a couple of fake feathers. on the safe side i stoped give them to her though for the fear that it might cause feather plucking or bird aggression

and yes i think hamster toys are ok becuase they are pretty much the same thing. i would stay away with ones that maybe coated with vitimans or something tho

Thanks, that'd make sense to stay away from added pieces. Seen wooden toys with added taste too for hamsters and parrots actually.
I just noticed at a local chain pet shop they're selling Christmas themed hamster toys, all wood and vine. So I might get pazu a little wooden Christmas tree for his cage.
