Patterns for Parrot Clothes

Does anyone have any patterns for making parrot hoodies and outfits? I really want to make a Flyers Hoodie for my Grey, or rather, my boyfriend wants me to make it.

I could probably work one out myself but if I can find a pattern it'd make it a ton easier!

Re: Patterns for Parrot Clothes

I tried to find this out last year and was unsuccessful. I think the people who make them to sell don't want people to easily be able to make them nor do they offer free patterns online. Also, measuring a parrot is much harder than measuring a human! Poor Kiwi ended up in a hoodie so large all he could do was roll over and lay there like a hapless slug LOL.

I've decided on (at some point) buying one and deconstructing it so I can make a pattern off it. Probably the best option IMO.

Re: Patterns for Parrot Clothes

My brother was tanning a Grey Squirrel skin the other day he really wanted to make Willow a cape out of it, lmao, if I didn't think she'd just eat it I would have let him, lol

I feel like I could get fairly close, but I don't want to traumatize them by putting on and pulling off clothes all day!

Why not use a harness to obtain your base measurements?

Buy a hoodie off of Avian Fashion and then study it; you can make more later

Re: Patterns for Parrot Clothes

I've made clothes for my macaws with the basic design of the fasion hoodie.

I just didn't need the hood and would rather have an opening, so I didn't have to push it over their heads. If you like, I can make a pattern for you. You will then have to scale it down to your bird
