...is the sound of silence after all the fids are fed and I can enjoy my cup of coffee.

Though there are plenty of "thunks" to the bottom of the Amazon's cage as Ezio tosses out things he doesn't think should be in there. The conures happily crunching on pieces of apple, but Willow my cockatiel still hasn't quite caught on to enjoying fresh meals, I hope she catches on soon! She's really missing out!

RIP Gandalf and Big Bird, you are missed.
My breakfast is identical to theirs, so I graze while prepping their dishes with at least one "supervisor" on my shoulders. While each dish is somewhat personalized, they are all given stuff they don't like in the eternal hope of at least a taste. Funny to watch them irreverently toss out the "junk" and devour the good stuff.

LOL, after reading the title and before I saw what you wrote, I thought "hm, I bet Liz's favorite part of the morning involves coffee" :) I know it does for me!

For me, it's definitely getting myself caffeinated first so that I can make everyone's chop in the morning. The birds are all chatty while they watch me work. Once they've received their food bowls, there's a moment of silence, except for those 'thunks'. haha!

I usually mentally plan out my day while I'm busy chopping.

I actually don't get to drink my coffee until I'm in the car... It's brewing while I'm doing the bird's food...

But yeah, after everyone is happily crunching away, I can sneak out peacefully.

That's what I do, pull out the food and stick it in the microwave, set up my coffee and brew, assemble chop, sneak out quietly!

Gotta go while they are still distracted, or half of them will want to come with...
