Someone chewed my favorite flip flops:(. Sound familiar Mark? LOL

Actually, these aren't ruined... They're just imperfect now, and I liked these a lot! They stopped after putting in some good v-shaped dents and notches out of the heel area. They're only cheap rubber ones, but I loved this pair nonetheless!

I am not even sure who the culprit is! It is out of character for any of them really. Where a cockatoo or macaw, or even a conure would typically be destructive and not to be trusted unattended in a room with personal belongings, my Pois and Pionus aren't usually that way.

However, I suspect a Poicephalus :20:. Robin isn't ever on the floor, unless Raven the Pionus lands on his cage and bullies him off :54:. Raven and Griffin know that to land on Robin's cage is a big fat NO! So they usually know better than to try. My guess is Griffin, because he flies and likes to land on the floor a lot and I can't break him of it (it's not a big deal, since he's safe in the room). But I'm just not positive WHO left little green foam rubber pieces all over the carpet by my now ugly marked up flip flops! Haha, add that to my bird shirts!

I'm biased... but I'd blame the Too.... I know Willow has a footwear fetish, especially sandals!

My bet's on Griffin, too! He's just a feathered ball of mischief, that one. Hahaha!

Do you have a dog? Mine chewed up my favorite sandals of all time, and I've NEVER been able to find another like them. Sorry for your loss.

Sounds like Griffin has been a naughty boy! Sorry about your favorite flip flops, Julie! Maybe one of your boys decided it was time for mom to get a brand new pair of sandals.

Hmmm...I'm wondering if Raven set Griffin up, and is cackling to himself now?
Are they still wearable? I hate losing well worn flip flops:(
I vaguely remember it being warm enough to wear them.

Thanks for the sympathy LOL! I'm still wearing them, and I have a lot of rubber flip flops in different colors, but these were one of my favorites.

Oowl, the dog is partitioned off in a different area of the house. Shoes are never left with the dog lol, they'd be gone for sure! The 3 parrots are in a bedroom for now. Now that Raven and Griffin fly, I have to close the door most of the way unfortunately, and keep checking on them. It's to make sure they (especially Griffin the more active one) doesn't fly out and down the hall and into the very high prey drive dog's area  I am exceedingly careful about that!

Presently have six Greenwing Macaw (17 yo), Red Fronted Macaw (12 yo), Red Lored Amazon (17 y.o.), Lilac Crowned Amazon (about 43 y.o.) and a Congo African Grey (11 y.o.)
Panama Amazon (1 Y.O.)
Yeah, well you can still wear yours.

Mine weren't even recognizable as flip flops...

(But at least I know who did it!)

It was funny.

The other day Lila was waddling around on the floor while I was making breakfast for everyone, and I had my flip flops on.
She came running up behind me, grabbed the heel, and tried to run off with one that was on my foot!

Yeah. Don't turn your back on the flip flops, or they're gone!

Haha I will never forget the pic you posted. I'm glad you said they were flip flops, or we would never have known... "what are those scraps hanging by his chewed shirt??" LOL

I don't know what made "someone" stop here... maybe they just wanted to play a mean trick on me. It wasn't like they decided they didn't want to chew on it anymore, they made sure to do BOTH left and right shoes and only enough to make them all ugly hahaha I swear it was just to be mean!! The 2 teenage boys don't like it when I give them 'boundaries'. I think they try to get me back at times lol.
