Hello,

I hope this is the right section to post this. I was wondering where people are placing their food and water bowls on their birds play perch. I tried to center mine so any wasted food would land on the paper, covering the plastic base.

For some reason, my grey likes to sit right on the edge of the perch and a lot of food falls to the ground. It's not a huge problem but the less I need to clean up, the better. I was thinking about putting them right in the middle somewhere but then they would be in the way of his toys. Any ideas or comments would be helpful, if you've had this issue.

I'll attach a picture so you all can see where the bowls are. I built the whole thing myself....except for the plastic drawers

RIP Gandalf and Big Bird, you are missed.
Very nice setup! IMHO you should move the food bowl to a center location for convenience and observe King Rufus' actions. He may happily accommodate you while eating and move to a favored place at other times.

Hi Scott, thanks for the tip. I'm going to try it out next time I replace the vet wrap. Hopefully it will cut down on the mess a bit. Thanks for the compliment on the setup. I build a mini (2'x2') version for my office too.
